Our Partners

Wings of Blessing has been abundantly blessed to work alongside these faithful partners who are committed to serving the isolated people in the La Moskitia region of Honduras.

Together, help us continue sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with these dear people.

Ahuas Clinic

The Ahuas clinic is located in the remote village of Ahuas, Honduras which is a part of the La Moskitia region in the north eastern portion of the country. The clinic provides medical services to those living in that area.

However, considering the remoteness of the region, Wings of Blessing serves as a lifeline to those in need of these services during an emergency situation. The WOB flight program works in partnership with the clinic to meet those physical needs which often opens doors to meeting spiritual needs.

The clinic offers mobile healthcare services as well to the remote communities and the WOB airplane allows for that to happen.

Alas de Socorro

Alas de Socorro is an aviation program serving the La Moskitia region of Honduras.  Another organization based an aircraft in Ahuas to support the medical clinic started by Moravian missionaries, eventually becoming Alas de Socorro Honduras.

La Moskitia is the most remote and underserved area of Honduras, lacking a modernized transportation system. Travel to the clinic can often take hours or days via boat or foot and the airplane is able to reduce that travel time to minutes saving lives.

Several years ago the flight program experienced significant operational challenges due to mismanagement which ultimately shut the program down.  Wings of Blessing was asked to consider reviving the program and oversee the operations.

Alas de Socorro still exists as a Honduran non-profit organization and Wings of Blessing will work together with them in redeveloping the program.

AGAPE

Over the past few years, we have fostered a relationship with a Guatemalan Aviation Ministry called AGAPE. They had a small connection with an aviation ministry in Honduras called Alas de Socorro which had sadly shut down.

We were asked if Wings of Blessing would consider taking on the challenge of restoring the flight operations along with AGAPE’s assistance.

This would once again provide aviation services and a strong Christian presence to this remote area of Honduras, helping to save lives and build the Church.

Our work in Honduras is centered in Ahuas, a small Miskito community in the La Mosquitia region. La Mosquitia is approximately 6,100 square miles located in the northeastern portion of the country with a population over 100,000. The primary language is Miskito, although Spanish is spoken by most.

In the secluded village of Ahuas, a medical clinic is bringing hope to isolated communities. It operates as a vital lifeline, providing emergency medical services to those in need. Through these services, lives are being transformed and the life-changing message of Christ is being shared.
